User's Manual
Congratulations on purchasing the 360-Panoramic bracket.
You can assemble the 360-Panoramic tripod head for portrait mode and for landscape mode. The instructions are as described in the sections below.
Parts List
The 360-Panoramic consists of parts as described in the picture below.
Panning and Locking the Tripod Head
The 360-Panoramic allows you to pan the camera 360 degrees. In addition, the camera can be securely locked to a fixed position before you depress the shutter button on your camera. This prevents camera movement during your picture taking process.
To pan the camera, hold the pan lever and turn any direction (picture below).
To lock the camera to a fixed position, tighten the panning bolt on the 360-Panoramic tripod head (picture below). It is important that this bolt be always locked (except when panning the camera) to ensure that the camera does not accidentally fall off the tripod head.
To know how much you have panned the camera, you can use the line markings on the rotating ball head. Each major line is 30 degrees apart. Each minor line is 15 degrees from the major line.
Assembly For The Portrait Mode
The 360-Panoramic can be assembled for picture taking in the portrait mode.
Step 1
Mount the 360-Panoramic tripod head on the tripod (picture below).
Step 2
Attach the L-bracket to the straight bracket (picture below). Place a metal washer in the following place:
- between the bolt and the straight bracket
- between the straight bracket and the L-bracket
- between the L-bracket and the nut
The L-bracket may be mounted to either side of the straight bracket for left-handed users and right-handed users accordingly.
Note that during assembly, the L-bracket does not have to be at a right angle (90 degrees) to the straight bracket. However, the nodal point of the camera lens should be at the rotating point of the 360-Panoramic head. See two pictures below.
Step 3
Secure camera to the L-bracket (picture below). Place a metal washer in the following places:
- between the bolt and the L-bracket
- between the L-bracket and the camera
Step 4
Align the camera lens to its nodal point and secure camera tightly to the L-bracket. Start taking pictures.
The rotating point of the 360-Panoramic tripod head is the screw in the center of the tripod head. The nodal point of the camera lens should be aligned to this point. See picture below.
Assembly For The Landscape Mode
The 360-Panoramic can be assembled for picture taking in the landscape mode.
Step 1
Mount the 360-Panoramic tripod head on the tripod (picture below).
Step 2
Secure camera to the straight-bracket (picture below). Place a metal washer in the following places:
- between the bolt and the L-bracket
- between the L-bracket and the camera
Note that during assembly, the camera does not have to be parallel to the straight bracket. However, the nodal point of the camera lens should be at the rotating point of the 360-Panoramic head.
Step 3
Align the camera lens to its nodal point and secure camera tightly to the straight bracket. Start taking pictures.
The rotating point of the 360-Panoramic tripod head is the screw in the center of the tripod head. The nodal point of the camera lens should be aligned to this point. See picture below.
